Ryan Grubbs is currently an Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning for Football at Liberty University. He joined the Liberty Football staff as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach before the start of the 2020 football season.
Prior to joining the staff at Liberty, Grubbs served in various roles at Purdue, Louisiana Tech, Ole Miss, and Indianapolis.
Grubbs joined the Boilermakers after serving one year as the lead assistant strength & conditioning coach at Louisiana Tech. He was director of baseball strength & conditioning and assistant for football, working with the Bulldogs’ running backs, linebackers, tight ends, and quarterbacks.
Prior to Louisiana Tech, Grubbs spent two years at the University of Mississippi, spending time with both Football and Women’s Basketball teams.
Grubbs got his start in collegiate athletics at the University of Indianapolis, where he worked as an intern assistant strength & conditioning coach for one year before being promoted to associate director of strength & conditioning for two years.
A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Grubbs is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting (USAW), and is certified through the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI).
